So many times in life we are eager for change and advancement that we run toward it instead of walk. As I continue with the discussion of growth and change I would like to highlight a very important step in this process, the first step, grounding.
As you look around outside and see Mother Nature waking up from her winter nap you will notice some Spring flowers beginning to emerge. These flowers do not begin their growth process from the stem down, but rather from the root up. In order for us to find success in our growth we must first be rooted in our decision to change and grow. So, as you begin your list of Spring cleaning items, be rooted in your decision to change and grow for the better. Make a commitment to yourself and surround yourself with positive affirmations so you can stay focused on your goal of growth and change. Each day when you awake, before you even crawl out of bed, tell yourself “you can do it,” “you will do it”, and most importantly “you are worth it!”
Remember, walking before running provides your body and soul with the much needed foundation so you can stay strong and committed as you gain ground and increase your momentum.
